How Ace Label Requests are managed
Currently submitters can request new Ace labels to be created for any collectible outside of the Pokémon TCG creating a workflow for our art department.
Ace Label requests are created once your card/s have been received & processed by our Research & ID team.
Once an Ace Label request is created it gets added to a list for our art department to work directly from -
The priortisation of that list is based on the estimated dispatch time or otherwise known as our turnaround times.
Basic - 20 Working Days
Standard - 10 Working Days
Premier - 5 Working Days
Ultra - 1 Working Day
Turnaround times start once your submission is received.
Turnaround Time Delay Impact Example
During periods of high demand for label requests, demand can outstrip label creation capacity leading to overall delays to submission turnaround times.
Label Creation demand is counted as separate to overall turnaround time so therefore if there was a 2 working day delay for label creation this would simply be expected to be added to the overall turnaround time as so -
Basic - 22 Working Days
Standard - 12 Working Days
Premier - 7 Working Days
Ultra - 3 Working Days
How to check whether you are affected?
Using Classic submissions you will get a disclaimer simply explaining what collectibles could be affected by the label creation delay -
Using simple submissions currently is more manual, please check your cards against currently available labels on our label library page - https://acegrading.com/ace-labels
If the cards have an Ace label allocated against them within your dashboard, but a label is not uploaded on the above page then this label will be on our art departments list to complete.
If you are to select an ace label for any of your cards on your submission dashboard then you will not currently receive the pop up like you would in our classic submissions, stating a request has been made. This will still be added to our art departments list to complete
Future Aspiration
Ace Grading would like to be more transparent with Ace Label creation turnaround impact and we will be implementing a technical solution at the earliest convenience to better communicate this to submitters.
